Summer Kick Off Giveaway

Well now......I have an urge for a giveaway. As you all know, this weekend is the kick off for the summer season so let's start it off with a fun and useful giveaway.

I spent some time this morning, looking over the offerings of canning books at Amazon.com and decided on this one.

The photos are great and the offerings sound exciting with loads of good reviews too.

Let's make this easy, shall we? Leave a comment about what you will be doing this weekend, maybe it is a big gathering with friends and loved ones, or maybe it's just going to be projects to tackle.

All of you are welcome to enter, if the winner is outside of the U.S., The Book Depository will be used.

Please have your comment in by Monday night and the winner will be announced on Tuesday.

Have a lovely and safe weekend!   xo

I'll be working in the gardens... at least when the sun is shining... and working on a painting project or two. No rest for me :)

PS this looks like a fabulous book... one of the few canning books I don't own!

This book looks great!

Depending on the weather, we might go up to Timothy Lake for a family fishing day and working in the garden. Or, if it rains all weekend, there are plenty of jobs to tackle in the house; I may finally paint the hall way doors after a year of living with primer on them :)

Hope you have a lovely weekend, what are your plans?

Looks like a great book! I've toyed with canning and preserving for a while. I might not ever have that much of a surplus, but you never know.

We're going to Leavenworth this weekend, going to pay a visit to Ohme Gardens, and take it easy.

I will be getting ready for company on Monday. Inside and out...I am looking for book to help me can my tomatoes this year. Enter me.

I'm making self-watering planters for my tomatoes out of buckets. Or rather, my husband is, while I watch :) This book looks fun - it's nice to have unique canning recipes to try!

I will be cleaning up my perennial bed, working at the gallery, and packing up books to get them out of the way for our bedroom remodel! I have only made jam, and haven't canned anything else, but I would love to try!

Ooh, that sounds like a fun book! I plan on giving my new grill a workout, doing some gardening and hopefully a craft or two. Happy Memorial Day Weekend:@)

Fun!

I'll be attending a missions conference with my family at the Oregon coast. We've gone every Memorial Day Weekend since 2005. It's where my daughter met her husband!

Blessings, Debbie

I'm not in the drawing because I won the wonderful big cookbook last time. This weekend is beginning with a bang--a sudden, quick windstorm that knocked down lots of branches.

I will be doing lots of gardening and yard work. Plus I need to wash my dirty car and dust the dashboard. The regular stuff like clean the coop and the rabbit hutch will also have to be included.

I mowed the backyard this evening before it started to rain with thunder and lightening.
