I want to make french macarons/macaroons. Am I afraid to make macarons? Yes, yes I am.
Do I end up doing things that I'm afraid of? Most of the time, yes I do.

How will I make myself take the plunge? I will tell you, my faithful readers, that I am going to do it and you will hold my feet to the fire....right?
O.K. I will do it since you are insisting. Saturday, I will make them and take pictures too and will share even if they are the most horrid french macarons in the world, I promise.
My question to you is...Have any of you baked up any of these lovelies and if so, do you have any stories or advice? Please do tell.
See you Saturday if not before! xo

Ooh, I can't wait to see how it goes!
I have never made them, and I seem to be the single person on the planet right now that doesn't much care for them. Oh, but they are so pretty!
Cool, go for it! I haven't tried them but wish you the best of luck:@)
Oh, these look so yummy!! I have never made them before. I look forward to seeing and hearing how wonderful the ones you make are!! Have fun!! xo Heather
I haven't made them, but have thought about it! Don't really care for eating them.
These scare me also but they always look so wonderful I have wanted to try forever ...please let us know how it goes!!
yes
I did it.
just like you with great trepidation I decided that like a souffle, macarons should be something that at our age we've mastered!
And this was the problem.
Like you I bake from the heart. With love as the special ingredient and the pleasure of doing something for others.
Macarons were something for me, not cos they tasted especially yummy (cos they don't) but because I wanted to win the competition with myself that said "bet you can't bake those"!
Sooooo...for me the hardest part was following a recipe with precision cos I tend to be a bit ad-hoc in the kitchen.
Did they look good? YES
did they taste good YES but not as good as they looked
did I enjoy making them and get pleasure from me-time? NO
would I do them again? NO NEED!
what would I make instead? English scones, cream and strawberry jam (jelly?) foolproof, delish and easy with a capital EEEEEEEEEEE!!
lotsa love
xx
never had macaroons before but it looks yummy.
i'm not really into baking, I'm just into eating.
haha.
: )

Thanks for dropping by!
LOVE your new banner! Happy Mothers Day to all of you !
I've been too afraid to try! But you're kinda inspiring me here. I can't wait to see how yours turn out. :)
I haven't. But I can't wait to see yours and hear how it goes. :-)
I have made macaroons on more than one occasion. You can enter the term in the "Search" box on the right side of my blog. I made a few Decor To Adore you tube videos as well. Best of luck!
I have a praise in that our home has officially sold. I now have just 32 to days to find a home, pack and move. A little pressure? :) We put a bid on a home yesterday that will give "The Money Pit" a run for it's money.
I wanted to let you know that I so appreciate all of your support and kind comments and if I am absent the next few weeks from your blog please know I will return soon.
For whomever you nurture, have a happy and blessed Mother's Day.
Have fun making them today!!! I've never made them, so I hope your experience is a good one!!!
Hugs,
Chris :o)
You are so funny... I am sure they will be great!
I never knew there was any other except coconut macaroons, which I've made (chocolate ones are best :) The French ones look really intriguing! I think you'd have a lot of fun earning to make them. How much of a chore could eating the "failures" be?
I have never made these either..I think i need a day to try first before I make them for a party...good luck! have fun too!
I remember eating these years ago. I loved them so much. They're hard to find in stores now. You gotta make them yourself it seems.
