Rain, Rain, Go Away..Please!

We are still waiting to plant most everything. Above is the flowers on the male kiwi that I got

for Mother's Day, to replace the one we lost over the winter. As you can see we bought a more mature plant to give him a better chance and hopefully not have to replace again.

Above, is one of two figs that we got to replace the one that was also lost this winter. And joining the table party is a tomato plant I picked up for my honey when I was in Vancouver last week.

I couldn't pass this up when I read on the tag that the fruit weighs from 1 to 2 lbs. and has gotten up to 5 lbs. Wow! I have never seen this kind before and it was the only one there. Are any of you familiar with it? I'd love to hear about it.

I'm worried that my Kale is getting too leggy, fingers crossed that soon I will be able to get it in the garden out back.

Finally, my flats of flowers for my window boxes....still waiting on the porch. I do believe I will put on rain gear and boots and plant them anyway.

*

Hope you all are having better weather and I am now praying for an Indian Summer for sure!

Have a lovely Monday.

I love kiwi fruits! The plants that we have in Alaska fruit about 1 to 2 inch fruits...the one your planting is an absolute monster.
Have fun with this Kiwi!!!

It is beginning to task my patience this weather! I want to get all our veg in but can't quite make it happen. I don't know that I can face another garden year like last year. Ah well, it is beyond our control I suppose.
Fortunately, our kiwi that we thought we may have lost, have come back gangbusters but I do not see any fruiting happening yet. Fingers crossed!

It's nasty weather here too: rainy, windy and freezing cold! We even woke up to frost one day last week! It didn't stop me this weekend though, I was out on the allotment digging up the weeds. In the rain. I loved it! X

Sounds like a soggy one here in Philly this week too. I haven't seen that tomato plant before. I remember G-Mom-B growing Beefsteaks, ugly but huge! Hope it dries up for you:@)

Oh how I wish I had your weather here, we could really use some rain. Sorry I am not familiar with your plant, I don’t know much about plants really. I hope you get some better weather where you are soon, your widow boxes flowers look great they are very bright and colourful good luck with them.

We finally did a little planting last week, but now it's rainy again. Ah well. I'm VERY curious about those tomatoes. They sound huge!

Could you send us some rain? It hasn't rained properly here for weeks and weeks. Seems as if the weather is going more and more to extremes. If it keeps up like this here than we might start planting cacti. :)
The tomato looks awesome. It will be interesting to see how it grows.

I think you are getting our rain, and we are getting your sun. It would be lovely to share it a bit more evenly...

We have grown some huge tomatoes, the best of which are a heritage variety and (allegedly) black. Dark browny red would be more accurate, and also VERY yummy!

I hate when rain thwarts my plans! But you seem to have a nice start to the garden anyway.
