Willamette National Cemetery - Portland, Oregon

I want to take this time to thank the Veterans and their families for their service for our country. The many lives and the time given have kept this great country free, may we never forget the high price that has been paid for this freedom.
*
I will be visiting my fathers grave today at the Willamette National Cemetery. Thank you Dad for your service for our country.
*
Thank you to my loving husband for your service for our country.
*
Thank you Colin (son in law) for your service for our country.

Very poignant, and a lovely reminder.

What a lovely post Sheri, our oldest wants to serve right now he's only 15 but he's been wanting to for 3 years now it will be interesting if he continues on the same path or if he will change his mind!

I was in a very large shop yesterday at 11am when we had the two minutes silence. Being out in public at that time and experiencing everything falling still and silent is quite an emotional force. We must never forget. xx
