Special Daughter Time

Happy Friday everyone, hope you had a good week, mine was something of a whirlwind. Two Happy Birthday events that went well and a surgery that didn't happen for little Sissy's ears. Mom and Dad prepared her and off they went, only to find that she had a bit of a fever and runny nose so Dr. chose to reschedule. We will try again in a few weeks.

Yesterday, Kami and I enjoyed some special time. She asked me to help her on the first 'cancer quilt' that she is making for patients to use during their chemo and radiation treatments, something of their very own to cover up with. You can read about it here on her blog.  It was symbolic in a way for me, it was the first time I was visiting and it wasn't about her cancer, it was about moving on, putting that journey behind us and putting to use lessons learned during that time.

Now, there are things to tend to up at the Little House.... a Mister to hug, a cat to pet, chickens to greet, a garden to prep...etc.....Life is good!

Have the sweetest of weekends my friends.   xo

Hi Sherri

Glad to see you sounding so much happier and it sounds like things with Kami are really improving - great news. I think it's a lovely idea that you are working on together - I'd like to see if there is anything like that in the UK.

Look forward to seeing you back here soon! xxx
