Christmas Breakfast

About this time every year, I start thinking about Christmas breakfast, contemplating the perfect menu, easy but worthy of the occasion. Up to this point it has just been a thought and sadly, ending up actually nothing to write home about. So now I am reaching out to you, my blogging friends, for some of your ideas and actual menus that you might have. If you have something that works for you, please do share.

Looking forward to your suggestions!

Have a great Monday. xo

I always try to make holidays meal special too, and traditional, so they help it "feel" like the holiday. For Christmas breakfast, we tried several things but finally settled on baked Scotch eggs (made the day before and popped into the oven while we opened gifts), with my grandmother's mustard sauce (made ahead for the Christmas ham), toasted English muffins with cinnamon butter (also made beforehand for Christmas dinner's baked sweet potatoes), orange juice, and milk or coffee. Simple but special! I'm looking forward to reading what other suggest.

I wanted to take a bow and invite myself to a cup of tea in your lovely house...and it smells like biscuits. Kisses and hugs

I always like to do an egg/sausage type of breakfast casserole. Biscuits, of course, country ham, fruit salad, and maybe some mimosas...

We used to host a Christmas brunch but since I have switched to a Boxing day supper.
I cooked almost everything you could want at the breakfast from eggs benny to fresh fruit salad.
This year the simpler breakfast of waffles are calling my name.
I'm still stumped at my Boxing day menu although there are some amazing ideas on Pinterest you may want to take a peek at :)

That looks lovely! We love really rich homemade quiche, bacon, and cinnamon rolls (homemade). Of course, it is necessary to have spiced tea and lots of coffee!

That table looks full of the most delicious looking yumminess I have seen! Our Church service is so early on Christmas day that I usually only get time to eat a slice of toast and drink a mouthful of tea. Oh yes, and some chocolate too! :) x

I usually have a strada for breakfast (it's made the night before and waits in the frig. for morning)with fresh fruit & coffee cake.

I'll be happy to share recipes if you're interested.

Your table looks wonderful - oh yes...and always hot cocoa Christmas morning...even if we're having a heat wave.

what fun. You're picture brought back a wonderful memory of a coastal trip my mom, sister and I took years ago. We stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast that served broiled grapefruit along with wonderful stuffed french toast. I had forgotten all about that different meal!

Blessings, Debbie

There's an amazing bread and egg casserol thing that Matt's family makes every Christmas. It's really delicious. I'll have to steal the recipe and share it with you when I can. :)

Sherri
I like to do the sausage, egg casserole so I can have it made ahead and Christmas morning isn't wasted in the kitchen. I'm going to add the French toast casserole this year for change.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
