20 Degrees Brrrr !

Breakfast everyone, come and get the warm oatmeal mush.

Daisy thinks she will try the appetizer of Black oil sunflower seeds until there is room at the table.

These girls agree, have some protein before the carbs.

I'm off to the feed store this morning as the cold snap has hit and looks like it will be with us for the entire week. Had to cancel the trip south to the other house as the Portland area will be getting some of the same.

Stay warm and have a good Monday.

I have to go and get my girls some oatmeal today...straw too. Love the pics of your flock eating. Brrrrr, 20 degrees makes me shiver! I bet we will have the same by Thursday.

We're threatened with high 20's tomorrow. Brrrr indeed. It was supposed to be 70 today. Wonder where the sun went?

Love your pictures. You stay warm and make something delish for dinner.

Cute chicks.

Yeah, weather.com says we'll be in snow from Wednesday-Thursday. It's bright and sunny right now. :)

I had no clue they would eat porridge...I did want chickens once...but they smell...they are cute and would be supreme entertainment for the cats if I did have a few!

hiya- not so cold here, just wet and dreary.
I'm also off to the feed store this morning for chaff and a saltlick for Bruce.
Our chooks have had their breakfast of ham fat and mashed potaoes and gobbled it all up without even coming up for air!
Stay warm
xx

Sherri B ~ I'm glad I stumbled upon your Blog. It's wonderful, and makes my mouth water with all the delightful recipes. You'll have to stay tuned on my Blog as our temps dip to -22, and I head to our outhouse on our snowy 40 acres next winter. :) Our sled dogs actually love it when it is zero...so cold temps are good for running sleds. Also, thank you for your kind words on my Blog. It's wonderful to be linked up with "kindred spirits".
