Mr. Bold Coyote

I thought I'd share with you just how bold the coyotes are getting around here lately. The Mr. captured these shots about 11:00 am yesterday. There were two of them earlier and a couple of weeks ago, one ran out of the front yard when I went to let Jack out!

They are not even afraid...One day not too long ago, I had one coming toward me as if it were a dog and wanted to say hi...ya, right!

Here is the snow we are having today and you can really see how close the coyote was when compared to this shot.

Here is Miss E's sweet house as the snow comes down. The forecast is up to 8" tomorrow and who knows how much on Wednesday before it warms up and high winds are expected.. then a wind storm on Saturday...It may all prove to be very interesting.

Stay snug and warm my friends. xo

Oh my. Both for the snow and the coyote. Scary about the coyote. I definitely would not like one so bold, so close.

What a feeling...we have them walk through our drivway as well, our house is 4 ft away..
They are not the same,a whole new breed here, the Eastern coyote a cross of western coyote with timber wolves.
They are German shepherd size.
I sure hope they move on!

Oh my! Are coyotes dangerous? I have heard that around here the wolves are coming into town and killing pets. Last week a resident witnessed a wolf take down a full grown deer right in town. I remember as a child growing up rural, my mom telling me not to worry about the wolves when I would hear howling. She said they were far away and were very afraid of people so they wouldn't come near. Boy things are changing.

We don’t get coyotes here, are they dangerous to people or just chickens and that sort of thing. The photos of the snow are very nice.

Wow. Bold little thing, isn't it?

It's finally snowing here, but it's mixed with rain. :(

We live a very suburban area in California and the coyote have moved in over the last few years. I guess where there are deer, the predators will follow. They come up behind our back fence a lot. Our dog ran over to the fence to bark at one, and he didn't even blink an eye (my dog and the coyote were about the same size). The coyote started hopping up and down and wasn't sure if he wanted to fight or play. They are very beautiful though!

HI Sherri....Beautiful pictures ...even tho there is a cheeky coyote in some of them!
We have them here ...we hear them in the revene near our home (300 yds away) at night....3 miles from here where our daughter has her horse they are everywhere! they come so close and are very brazen!
We have 12" of snow now! We are waiting for the big dump and the wind storm....not looking forward to it tho! although it is beautiful to look @ and walk in!

I walked out of the shop one night only to find a coyote walking along the fence in the parking lot.

At first we thought, dog? But no, coyote.

Thank God we didn't have our dog with us because she would have been off leash.....

Your snowy day looks beautiful.
