This and That

Happy Fall! I know that calendar wise, it isn't Fall yet, but I have always felt like it is once the kids start heading back to school.

I hope you all had some fun on this long holiday weekend. We managed to get quite a bit done around the house and squeeze in a movie and some thrifting too.

I have to share this pretty package with you.  I purchased a special creation made by Heather from Vintage Grey and just look at the lovely way she bundled it up.

Love this tag with my name on it...I will be keeping that for sure.

Here is the beautiful towel that I ordered from Heather.  I haven't  decided how it will be used but I can say it won't be drying any dishes!

My honey finished the porch on the shed.  It turned out just like I had hoped, made with all reclaimed items.  Can't wait to doll it up with some Autumn touches.

Lastly, I had to show you the best deal we have ever found at a garage sale...A Bose Wave radio, with remote, in perfect shape for only $15.00  Yeah!!

*

I will hopefully be getting some plums this week.  Jam is on the list but I would like to know if any of you have something special that you like to do with this fruit.  Please do share if you do.

Have a happy day!  xo

What a wonderful collection of this and that! I adore your towel from vintage grey, so pretty! Your porch is perfect, well done to the Mr. I can just see it dolled up with a touch of autumn. And oh my, what a great bargain in that radio, hooray!

Tomorrow my girl heads back to school, we have had such a lovely summer together, but I think we are both ready for a new school year.

Cute goodies and I love your new porch! Plum jam is great and my suggestion would be this easy cake from Martha Stewart. The recipe makes 2 cakes, I just cut it in half and estimate the egg:@)

Hmmmm, fresh plums...sounds delish! I have a recipe for a Rustic Peach Tart & I'm sure the plums would work as well. Will try to find it and email to you.

That towel is gorgeous! She really is talented. Nope, would never use it for dishes either. :) Don't you just love special packaging like that?

That radio is a steal! I've always wanted one so now you can enjoy it for me.

That towel is really lovely! And she did a good job dolling up that package too. Your DH did a great job on your porch. I didn't realize you liked thrifting. Such a great way to get good deals.

Maybe the towel can go in the guest bathroom. Then you'd have some little finger towels on the counter by the sink so that no one would actually use the art towel!

What an incredible bargain, and also, a fantastic porch! And the towel, too... sigh... We are using plums in fruit salad - we seem to have lots of rasberries, blackberries, strawberries etc, but not enough to eat alone, so they go in with the plums for a slightly different salad every time!

A Bose radio for only $15!!!! What a find. Not that I listen to the radio, but Dan would be impressed, LOL.

The towel is gorgeous. I wouldn't use it for dishes either, but it's nice to have a few display towels to cheer a kitchen up.
