Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

Happy Friday! It is such a beautiful day here at the City House and after some real nasty, grey weather it is a welcome sight. This has been a good trip with happy results from Kami's blood cell levels. She was house bound for awhile with daily shots to get those cells producing again (pesky chemo side effects) but with a positive lab report, we met at Fabric Depot for some retail therapy of the best kind...that would be, of course, fabric and notions with some discounts..yeah!

The Mr. is on his way down for a rare 3 day weekend and the grand kids will finally see Grandma and Grandpa at the same time. Frederick the cat has been left in charge of the chickens and will be making sure the new rooster keeps the flock in order....hmm, this will be interesting.

Hope you all have some happy plans for your weekend too! xo

Sherri
I'm so glad for the good news with
Kami!! Retail therapy was definitely called for.
I'm no farmer, but the cat tending the chickens doesn't sound so good!
It's looking far more spring like where you are-lucky lady.

I am so happy to hear about your daughter. What better way to celebrate then retail therapy especially on a sunny day. I know that I always feel better on a sunny day. Enjoy!

So glad to hear the good news about your daughter's blood cell counts! Retail therapy, especially at a fabric store, is one of my favorite ways to celebrate.

That's good news!

We've had a few minor sun breaks here and there which have been incredibly welcome. I was just telling Matt last night how I'm itching for warmer weather.

When I am too busy to blog, I still think of my online friends, and you and your family are often in my thoughts. So it is great to read the good news of Kami. How lovely to get to spend some time together shopping too.

Unfortunately, a large adult male fox got to my friends chickens before the cat saw it (it is a very old cat). Hopefully Frederick will be on full alert while you are away :)
Have a great weekend xx

a cat keeping order of the chickens eh? that is hilarious sounding - but not too far off - cats are so funny to me how they just think they own the place...

we get many laughs from our cat!
