Confession time...I love to cook but have a huge problem cleaning up after myself, something that I have struggle with forever, so the area here at the sink is my love/hate place.
When I found this at a local thrift shop it was placed right above the sink and the words encourage and remind me of why I so enjoy to cook and nourish my loved ones.
I found this years ago in the Simple Country Pleasures magazine, I tore it out and put it on the cork board that I have over my small work surface. I never tire of the truth of the words and picture.
Last but not least, the very favorite thing in my kitchen would have to be my cookbook collection and the one above is the latest addition.

That's it for me, now I think I will go on over to the party and visit some other favorites. Come on over and join up if you would like to share too. Here's the link.

Have a happy Thursday.

I love your kitchen prayer......today is one of those days that I think this post was just for me!!!
Hello, Visiting from MCS. I have folders and folders of things that have lived on cork boards in my various lives. I can't get rid of them as their is still so much for me to learn from them. I'm a pretty slow learner.
Fun! I have a strong dislike of cleaning up after myself in the kitchen, too, but once it's done, it's oh so nice... until next time.
I've been wanting that cookbook for awhile! I've heard very good things. :)
I treasure my cookbooks too. Need to remember to flip through them more often.
Love your kitchen prayer sign! Totally cute!
Have a great week!
Chris :o)
Dishes-ugh! My dishwasher's name is Lynn, she doesn't do a very good job but she's been with the family forever:@)
Great post I really like the kitchen prayer board, I like all the stuff around the side of the prayer like the little ginger bread man, and all the cooking utensils, I haven’t seen something like this before it’s really nice.
Regards
Edward

i am always amazed that people like to cook. t loath cooking. i like food, i like the idea of pouring over cook books...but, i would rather clean the kitchen than cook any day of the year.
....very lovely things!
I love your post. I have the same trouble of cleaning up after myself sometimes. I need the prayer too. Love the cookbook collection, the old tried and true ones.
I don't like cleaning up either... but do like my kitchen to BE clean! Hmmmm, what a dilema :)
I'll have to check out that newest cookbook...

I just love being in my kitchen, it truly is the heart of my home.
It's very small and only gives me a limited amount of workspace but hey, that really DOES make sure you clear up as you go along!
xx
That's so lovely! I love the prayer too!!! And the recipe book looks great! Thank you so much for linking up to my Kitchen Favourites party!
I've signed up as your new stalker/follower!

That looks like a cookbook I need!
I love the words above you sink. What a perfect reminder that what we do is not drudgery but of glory to God! Our families are our most important ministry and we need to do it without grumbling and with thankfulness (I'm preaching to myself here). :)
Blessings, Debbie
What a great idea. I'll have to go explore all the links, especially since we're getting ready to do our kitchen remodel. I love seeing with others love!
I love cookbooks too!
