Happy Bits

Happy Friday all! I thought I had better do some quick 'happy bits' after yesterdays long Rant. I have calmed down and decided to take action instead of just fuming about it, more on that at a later date.

Just looking a salt water taffy makes me happy...does anything say sun and beach better than this?

I'm happy about this right now. As soon as I post this, I will be starting today's project of making the Rhubarb Chutney that Lindsay posted about last week. I will be using the UK method for putting up jams and chutneys, it is different from the way we do it in the US, more on that later too.

Finally, it will be nice to take some afternoon tea with this happy companion and think about the good things to come this weekend.

Wishing you all a weekend full of happy bits.   xo

Ooh, can't wait to hear how it turns out! That book looks good too, I've heard great things about their bread book.

Thanks for the happy bits and have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, your rhubarb! I am so envious. That is something else I planted three years ago with not much to show for. I get a few leaves with 2 inch stalks every year. Forgot to add that to my fruits and nuts tour. :o

Salt water taffy makes me happy too... makes me think of Birch Bay and the C-Shop in the summer :)

I hope you like the chutney as much as I do! It made the apartment smell amazing while it was bubbling away.

There is nothing as perfect for soothing ruffled feathers and crumpled spirits as a cup of tea! The only thing better might be sharing that tea with a good friend!
Happy week-end!

Your chutney sounds so good. Rhubarb is my husbands favorite!
