This and That

Hello friends! Hope you are all having a good week, I have been working on getting caught up on some things that were put on the back burner. My visits to you all were a bit sporadic as of late, so I have been trying to make the rounds to see what you are up to. This post is just a bit of this and that, just right for the middle of the week.

There are still some lemons lurking around that have asked to be turned into some kind of a cake....do I hear the Barefoot Contessa's recipe calling?

Here is the phone that I finally decided on...not an iPhone after all but an Android instead, I haven't really learned how to do much with it except make calls....The first night I had it, I asked my sister to call me and I didn't know how to answer it, I kept tapping the green phone picture and it wouldn't do anything...after a bit of detective work we found out you put the finger on it and hold down and slide.....ooh boy....I'm old!

My Christmas cactus is blooming.......but wait, come to find out, there is such a thing as an Easter cactus too!  I did some searching and some descriptions sound like 'part' of the plant and others don't, so, does anyone know what it is?

Mrs. Cottontail says "Silly humans, if it's blooming now, it must be an Easter cactus."

See you all soon, be well!   xo

Lemons - a whole world of possibilities! I just love fresh lemons with fish, chicken or in desserts - especially paired with blueberries - I have a simple phone - gradually catching up with technology! I hope you enjoy yours!
Have a great day,
Kathy

It's so good to have you posting again. Ummm...if you make something yummy with those lemons, don't forget to bring a smidge to me next week!

I had to giggle over the phone challenge....I bet all the young people who read your blog are thinking how silly us over forty people are.

I've never heard of an Easter cactus, but if Mrs. Cottontail says it is, then who are we to question her wisdom.

Mrs. Cottontail is so smart! I bet
she could have told you how to answer your Android!
I love your new banner. It's freezing here again.

Haha! I did the same thing with my phone. As soon as I walked out of the store someone called me and I couldn't answer it. And the Barefoot Contessa is brilliant so any lemon cake recipe you made from her would need a sample sent to Atlanta - pronto. :)

Love your new banner.
Didn't know there were Easter cactuses........
I don't have an i phone. It seems like everyone is assumed to own one. Mine is pretty simple, gets internet and I can text, so I am a happy camper.
