The Death Of A Cell Phone

I can not put it off any longer, it is time to say good by to a dear friend, one that has been so close to me for so very long.

Family members are complaining about horrid gaps in sentences...I thought it was just every now and then but was told by sister that they all just "got used to it" and didn't say anything unless they couldn't piece it together anymore.

This will be our last night together...tomorrow I will find a replacement...I have to admit that I am nervous and wish I could go to something like a match.com for phones.

I am told that I want a smart phone.

It would be helpful if you have any suggestions and could recommend a phone that you are pleased with.

Any advice would be appreciated. xo

I'm not a techno geek but I must say a smart phone will be your new best friend.....Read the book and you will be just fine...I have a younger friend and she is always showing me something new on it...its like a treasure chest for me!!

Best of luck in finding a new toy, I know it's daunting:@)

I love my iPhone 3G. You will love having a smartphone. I used to think I was fine just sticking with my old phone, which was a flip-phone a lot like yours, I didn't think a smart phone was really necessary. But now I love it!

oh Sherri I am sorry, its so sad- I was also told I needed a smartphone when none of my texts could use the letter A any longer, but I reckoned I needed a smarter brain to go with it so I just bought a £12 cheapie ($15?) from the phonestore and smiled so loudly at the man behind the counter so he was really nice and transferred my contacts for me- and showed me how to use it (and its got LARGE keys so I don't need my specs!)

Thankyou for all your lovely comments, you do make me laugh- it would've been so lovely if you'd just turned up at the Fair!

lotsa love xx
ps so pleased for you and Kami

Isn't it strange how we get attached to objects, especially faithful ones. Hope you forge a new relationship with your smartphone super quick. xx

I love my Droid, but my next phone will be an iphone, as there are so many more goodies that go with it like cute covers and such.

I love my smart phone so much it comes to bed with me at night and I check my email and Facebook page before turning out the lights....LOL.

Love Ya!

Oh, I feel your pain! I hate to have to relearn how to use a new phone or anything that involves instructions.
But you will probably have it mastered in no time Sherri!
I'm sure your kids can walk you through it all.

I guess you'll enjoy the new IPhone... oh gadgets these days are getting more and more complicated each day... but life is so much fun with them around.

I wish I could help you...I really REALLY do but...
my cell phone lays dead at the bottom of my purse most of the time..it's a 4G but I've yet to figure it out.
For me just a simple dial or text phone works best..I think I should mail you my phone - I'm sure you'll have it figured out in jiffy split time.
I guess I'm just not a phone person...my kids just laugh...

i wish you well on finding the perfect phone for you. technology continues to change ... & i wonder why they don't do more of the recycling of the phones. i know the have the program where you can send off your phone to a solider who needs it ...but what about all those other phones just laying around? (:

Such a personal decision... A smart phone would just make ME feel dumb. I still don't know how to use our 3 year old penny bargain! Good luck.
