A quick post this morning to introduce you to Mr. R. who takes all of his responsibilities very seriously...(especially making new chicks) He is quick to round the girls up and get them to cover when any large birds of question are approaching. He is also a very good provider as he alerts the girls to any tasty morsels of the worm or bug persuasions....we are hoping that some of the girls will want to sit on the eggs so we can have baby chicks in spring. Will keep you updated on this.I will be baking this morning for Mr. B. to take to work again and after that I am going to get my treadle sewing machine up and running. I will post a pic. later.

What a handsome fellow he is too! Our neighbors have a rooster (you need a permit to have one in the city) and every time he crows our girls get all ruffled up :)
