Prayers For Aurora

My heart is heavy for those affected by this tragic event in Aurora Colorado.

Only a very sick person could conjure up an act like this.

My prayers will be with the families of the wounded and dead, but also with those who are victims by witnessing what must have been a horrid sight.

Enjoy your loved ones this weekend.

Thank you all for being a special part of my life. xo

yes..crazy. and thank you for your example of prayers for others. I think we would all find comfort in the knowledge that people were praying for us.

I join you in prayer -
Prayer for the gift of loving Grace from God to hold those close to Him - the heartache is too deep, too heavy a burden searching for answers that may be kept until His return...
I pray the families feel our love for them

I couldn't help thinking about the shooter's parents, too. What heartbreak and shame they must be feeling.

Indeed, at tragic event. It will take the healing power of God's Holy Spirit to bring those that are left behind, comfort.

They will be in my thoughts and prayers also.

I am also praying for Aurora and for the families and friends of the victims, and also for the family of the shooter, who must be suffering so much as well. Bless you for this post.

Still haven't wrapped my head around it. More often than not, I understand people who commit atrocious acts like this (don't misunderstand, I do not condone them, but I get what's going on in their heads and can follow the train of thoughts leading those individuals to their disastrous acts of violence) but this one beats me. If he'd at least had the decency to remove himself from the face of the earth afterwards, but he's just sat in that courtroom like he merely stole a bike or sprayed graffiti.
All I can hope for is that those who were directly or indirectly affected will find the strength to heal and find joy in their lives again. It is the only way to spit in the face of that horrid little man who could do nothing better with his sad life than bring destruction and terror.
