Canning Book Winner

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a fine, long Memorial Day weekend.

We spent ours doing small projects around the yard and yesterday paid our respects at the local cemetery where there is a small but heartfelt service every year. We were pleased to see the good turn out too, it seems to be growing more all of the time.

We have a winner for the giveaway book, Canning For A New Generation.  Congratulations Paula, from "Home in Douglas" blog. Send me your mailing info and I will order it today.

This is a short week and I have a long list of 'hope to get to' things. An absolute must is,
making an apron, mine are in shreds and since I put one on in the morning and only take
them off when I leave the house, they have a hard life.

Are there any "Musts" on your list this week?

Have a bright day! xo

Congrat to Paula!
It wasn't Memorial Day here, but I listened to the services on my Serius radio on Fox news.
My Dad just returned from DC last week where they had a ceremony for WW11 veterns-I'm so.. proud of him!!

I am very excited to be the giveaway winner! Thanks so much!

I love your new banner photo - what a view!

I need to make a new apron - I am going to use one of my mom's old aprons as a template. Hers is well worn and beloved and my daughter's favorite, so I'll make a couple to honor her. I'm hoping I can find some great fabric.

Thanks again for the book - I can't wait to get it in the mail!

Speaking of canning, I made rose petal jelly over the weekend just because the flowers smelled so good.
