I guess where there are deer, the predators will follow. They come up behind our back fence a lot. Our dog ran over to the fence to bark at one, and he didn't even blink an eye (my dog and the coyote were about the same size). The coyote started hopping up and down and wasn't sure if he wanted to fight or play. They are very beautiful though!Sabrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10117798143314984254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006291232738173415.post-26971543246368176562012-01-16T14:24:19.284-08:002012-01-16T14:24:19.284-08:00Wow. Last week a resident witnessed a wolf take down a full grown deer right in town. I remember as a child growing up rural, my mom telling me not to worry about the wolves when I would hear howling. She said they were far away and were very afraid of people so they wouldn't come near. Boy things are changing.Jody@northernlivinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05290574314141719663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006291232738173415.post-61351484116979918212012-01-16T11:58:36.140-08:002012-01-16T11:58:36.140-08:00What a feeling...we have them walk through our dri...What a feeling...we have them walk through our drivway as well, our house is 4 ft away..
They are not the same,a whole new breed here, the Eastern coyote a cross of western coyote with timber wolves.
They are German shepherd size.
I sure hope they move on!farmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12067581296027303664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006291232738173415.post-37510200913279246042012-01-16T11:50:59.485-08:002012-01-16T11:50:59.485-08:00Oh my.
